Story prompts can be found on-line and they're pretty good at sparking my imagination.
I also have a notepad where I write down ideas no matter how well thought out, good or bad, and I revisit that when looking for something to write. It's good to stockpile ideas when you get them, it can come in handy. Even if you don't create something directly from your original idea, when you revisit, it can inspire you in a whole different way.(less)

My favourite book growing up…

I became totally absorbed in this. The author evoked the early 80s in privileged LA so well. And the story kept me on tenterhooks throughout. I think I will watch the tv show to see how it has been adapted.
David Phillips and 127 other people liked David Putnam's review of Everybody Knows:
Everybody Knows by Jordan Harper
"A solid five stars.
I have read all my life, sometimes a hundred and fifty books a year. An avid reader. Everybody Knows is the first book that has spoken to me in regard to Los Angeles (as a place), as a three--dimensional character with a voice all " Read more of this review »
David Phillips and 5 other people liked Lindsay Hunter's review of Yesteryear:
Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke
"I really liked this! The most haunting part of this book to me is how it nailed the way we have a harder and harder time separating our true selves from our online selves. It’s increasingly disorienting the more we live inside an app. "
