“Life is fragile and fleeting, we never know where we will be from one day to the next.”
Robbie Sheerin, The Orb

“If the devil’s work out here among the stars has a face, it is the handsome, narrow-chinned visage of Keeta Januari, leader of the Rationalists. And if God ever wanted someone dead, she is that person.”
Tad Williams, A Stark and Wormy Knight

“This is why people cry at the movies: because everybody’s doomed. No one in a movie can help themselves in any way. Their fate has already staked its claim on them from the moment they appear onscreen.”
John Darnielle, Wolf in White Van

“A house without books is like a room without windows.”
Horace Mann

“Life is fragile and fleeting, we never know where we will be from one day to the next.”
