Born in the suburbs of Chicago, Helena was sick much of her young life, escaping as many must, into books and horror. It was very early on when she discovered a love for short fiction, and after some time, developed a love for creating her own stories.
It was not until she discovered, quite by accident, a strange stretch of road, that her identity as a writer took shape. Among the concrete and shadows, she found a love for the place, and the monsters that seemed to be lurking behind closed doors.
