Mikayla Rand’s childhood was filled with stories of magic. When she wasn’t jumping purposefully into fairy rings, leaving out tasty treats for unicorns, or trying to find the second star to the right, she was making up fantastic stories for her friends.

Though she resisted growing up for as long as possible she did what southern girls are taught to do and stayed on the path: She finished college, married her sweetheart, worked her full time job, and had a kid… and quietly went stir crazy.

Now a little older and wiser, like most of her heroines, she sees the merit of straying from the path, and if there is a sexy werewolf in the bushes-well that’s a legitimate excuse to be late to dinner.
