Gayla McBride Edwards grew up at the foot of Mt. Magazine. She now lives in Fort Smith, Arkansas with her husband Jim, and their two dogs and two cats. She teaches Gifted and Talented Education nearby in Hackett, Arkansas. Her passion is keeping alive the culture, heritage and stories of rural Arkansas.
