Gary Watson spent thirty years as a reporter and editor for community newspapers in West Georgia. Many of his plots and characters are loosely based on his experiences in those capacities. From airplane crashes to raids on moonshine stills to officer-involved shootings to political hanky-panky, Watson has seen a little bit of everything.

A graduate of West Georgia College (now the University of West Georgia), Watson lives in Villa Rica, GA with wife Suzanne, and near two grown daughters and three grandchidren.
