Tamara Horikha Zernya (Tamara Duda) was born and raised in Kyiv. A poetry and prose author as well as a songwriter, she holds a degree in journalism from Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv. Daughter is her debut novel and has received favourable reviews from both literary critics and well-established Ukrainian writers. With the outbreak of war in Eastern Ukraine, Tamara took a leave of absence from her career to serve as a volunteer at the front. In 2014 and 2015, she and her husband raised funds for, purchased, and delivered equipment and aid to Ukrainian soldiers to the front. ...more
