My name is Veronica Falk, and I am a Mexican, Native American author currently living in Arizona with my husband, son, and two small but spunky dogs. I have previously published two short stories under the pen name Veronica S. Lost Boys Press published my story “Ghost Dance” in the anthology GREAT WARS. Additionally, my short story, “Red Dress,” appears in the anthology, NOT GHOST, BUT SPIRITS 2. I am now using the pen name Veronica Faline and have one short story, “The Wish of a Tree,” published this year in the anthology DEVOTION IN THE OPEN AIR by Inked in Gray.

This retelling took different turns than I thought it would. There were a lot of twists and I couldnt wait to read number two. The main character was a little predictable and there were a few spots where it was a bit slow.

I really enjoyed this story! It was a nice end to the monsters of verity series. I like that not everything ended with a nice bow at the end, it was very realistic and refreshing in that way.

This book took awhile to get good but once it did it was really good! Action packed and full of mystery it kept me guessing and now I’m eager for book two! I hope book two will not be so slow in the beginning
