Angelo Stano è uno dei più personali interpreti grafici di Dylan Dog, di cui realizza il numero uno. Dopo il liceo artistico, si trasferisce a Milano. I suoi primi approcci fumettistici risalgono alla metà degli anni Settanta: conosce Camillo Conti, direttore de "L'Avventuroso", e disegna la riduzione del romanzo di Jules Verne "Dalla Terra alla Luna". Nel 1977, collabora con la Casa editrice Dardo per la testata "Uomini e guerra". Fino al 1983, realizza "Charlie Charleston" per "Corrier Boy". Nel 1984, disegna "Viaggio a Matera", pubblicato poi nel 1993 sugli albi "Indigo" della R&R Editrice.
