John M. Caher has been a professional writer for three decades and is the author or co-author of six books.
A former newspaper reporter and editor, Caher’s books include Personal Bankruptcy Laws for Dummies (part of the highly successful “…for Dummies” line marketed by Wiley; 2007), King of the Mountain (a biography of former New York Chief Judge Sol Wachtler published by Prometheus, 1998) and A Time for Reflection (an autobiography of a former government and business legend, William E. Simon, published by Regnery, 2003). His most recent effort, The Curious Case of Kiryas Joel (with Louis Grumet), was published April 2016 by Chicago Review Press.
