Jim Masselos



Jim Masselos is an honorary reader in history at the University of Sydney. He has written extensively on Indian history and culture, including aspects of the history of Bombay. He is the author of Indian Nationalism and Towards Nationalism, and co-author of Dancing to the Flute: Music and Dance in Indian Art. In addition, he has edited three scholarly volumes and curated exhibitions in Sydney for which he has written catalogues. His most recent publications are The City in Action: Bombay Struggles for Power and the co-authored Bombay Then and Mumbai Now, the edited volume The Great Empires of Asia, as well as numerous journal articles and book chapters.
