“The fingers of the hand that once lay flat on my chest grab the fabric of my shirt and gently pull me toward her. She tilts her head, inviting me to kiss her, and I don't hesitate. I lean in and my mouth meets hers.
So warm. So soft.
"Jessica," I say against her lips. She moves her arms around my neck, running a hand though my hair. Her mouth opens for me and my tongue find its way. Her entire body is warm and pliant, forming against mine.
I shift, putting all my weight onto my arm supporting me against the brick wall and wrap my other arm around her waist to remove any space between us, lifting her up a fraction to get a better angle, to get even closer. She lets out a tiny gasp, and I can't help it-a moan escapes in response.”

“Elijah: I couldn't stop thinking about you all night....
Oh.
My.
God.
He thought about me all night. Despite sitting at my desk in the office with my door closed, letting out a swoony sigh wouldn't be appropriate at my place of work. And yet...I couldn't hold it in. The breath most definitely releases from my mouth followed by a high-pitched squeal. I spin in a circle in my chair, tapping my feet as I go in a little dance. It's the only way to release me from the excitement I'm feeling.
Elijah: I can still taste you on my lips
Holy cow. Now what do I say to that?”

“Before I can stop myself, before I can overthink it , I lean back just a fraction, just a couple inches and my body makes contact with his. He gently puts his hand on my waist to steady me. The feeling is warm, strong, and safe.”
