Dr. Beeman has over 45 years’ experience in education, art, and public service as a classroom teacher, Administrator, Specialist with LD/ED children and adults, mental health and crisis-intervention specialist, Artist/art therapist, poet and writer.

Beeman was awarded the Ed.D. by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Her dissertation research was a reliability and validation study of the use of an art therapy assessment as a screening tool for early detection of learning problems in grades K-2. The title of the research was Using an Art Therapy Assessment to Screen for Barriers to Learning in the Primary Grades. Two Catholic schools and a public school served as research sites in the study.
