Cathy Riley is a high school English teacher in a semi-rural town in Virginia. Somebody I Used to Know is her first novel and was inspired by some of the amazing students she has encountered over the years.

She dreams of one day running a hippo collective, but, until then, she is hard at work on her second novel.
