Most enjoyable. Ida is an odd teenager and is definitely the more interesting of the two protagonists. Eleanor is a tad tedious in all respects- somewhat wishy-washy and a bit of a damp rag. There is not a single interesting man in the whole novel. T ...more

Excellent Is this YA or adult? It reads like the former but concludes with a satisfying adult twist. I really enjoyed it.

Love Indigo I enjoyed this slightly less than the other books in the series, partly because Beverly seems to now have superpowers she didn't have in the last ten books, but I still enjoyed it muchly. ...more

Kitchen sink with the dirty dishes An eminently readable story, so intimately written I had thought it biographical. I wish there had been a pronunciation guide for the Irish language, mind.

A good read. A splendid read in the series, but not quite as enthralling as the previous novels. Lydia without her powers is a bit boring, to be frank, and I could do without Fleet altogether.

Awesome story A polygamous middle aged lady in a mid life crisis. I have seen many rave reviews of this novel but to be honest I was a bit bored. It was good enough to keep me reading, though

Twister A surprisingly twisting novel about one woman coming to terms with the abuse she suffered as a child. Well written and set in a has-been English south coast village, it has an unexpected flip at the end.

Splendid. Another fascinating tale of Unholy Island, though this time with a dark force destroying people and causing rifts between the usual residents. I liked the link into Crow Investigations.
