Dr. Kenneth K. Inada, PhD (Asian Buddhism, University of Tokyo (Todai), 1960; MA, University of Chicago; BA, University of Hawaii), was Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of Asian and comparative philosophy in the Department of Philosophy at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo after having served 10 years on the faculty of the Philosophy Department at the University of Hawaii. He retired from UB in 1997, having specialized in Buddhism, Sino-Western comparative philosophy and aesthetics, and was was internationally recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities in the field of Buddhism and East-West comparative philosophy.
