Annu Subramanian addresses global issues through her books. Her recent novel, ANOTHER HEAVEN, exposes the horrors of human trafficking and terrorism and is used as a campaign against human trafficking. She was selected as a national finalist in 2011 by Norman Mailer Center and NCTE and was chosen as Educator of Excellence in 2011 by New York State English Council. Her debut novel, WAITING FOR THE PERFECT DAWN, traces the lives of five generations of women in India and is used as a platform to empower women. She lives in upstate New York.
