Bert is the author of Parson Campbell's Breakthrough, a novel of the turbulent 1950s, and currently of Sunrise in the Cloud City, to be published in August.

A retired Presbytrian minister, Bert lives with Betty, his wife of many years, and Walter Mitty, their black tabby cat, in Spanish Fort, Alabama, where the waters of five rivers flow through the marshes of the Tensaw Delta and flow into the beautiful Mobile Bay.
