Anastasia Hi Rose,

happy to be your friend.

Buck To answer your question, I’ve been in Korea for about two months now. The company I was working for in Canada sent me over here to train local teachers. Having hung out with a lot of Koreans back home, I was already familiar with the culture and knew a smattering of the language. Plus, I was getting bored, and this seemed like a good opportunity to see a part of the world that interested me. So far, so good.

And you? Still in Rochester? It must be getting pretty hibernal there about now.

Good luck with Der Zauberberg. Is it just me, or does that title remind you of Facebook?

Buck Don't worry: my currently reading-shelf is forever rebuking me, too, except that mine keeps saying, 'Hey, ya pompous ass, why don't you read a nice, normal book for a change?'

'Suburban housewifery' sounds strangely appealing to me just now. If only I could find a suitably broad-minded man. Sigh.
