Born in Argentina, in 1937, Lázaro Covadlo was a refugee in Spain in 1975, after a military strike, and that's where he lives to this day, near Stiges.
Starting publishing a little late, it's only on the 90's that titles such as Agujeros negros, Remington Rand, Conversación con el monstruo, La casa de Patrick Childers e Animalitos de Dios start getting famous.
With the novel Night Creatures, he won the Café Gijón prize in 2004.
