Astrid Harrewijn studeerde rechten en was daarna werkzaam als vertaalster. Na het winnen van een schrijfwedstrijd debuteerde ze in 2006 met de roman Ja kun je krijgen. Ze heeft inmiddels elf romans en twee luisterseries gepubliceerd. Ze heeft een onmiskenbaar eigen stijl en schrijft met humor over de valkuilen van ons dagelijks bestaan. Astrid Harrewijn woont met haar man in Den Haag en de Vogezen. Ze heeft twee dochters en twee Duitse adoptiehonden; Lotte & Frida.
