BEATRICE VELARDE (Lima, 1968) ejerce el periodismo desde 1988, centrada en la fotografía callejera a partir de 1996. Su trabajo como cronista de viajes se ha publicado en diversos medios de prensa peruanos y extranjeros. Con el fin de explorar otras formas de mirar, estudia para detective, desempeñándose en el campo forense. Gana el Concurso Internacional de Fotografía eDreams (España, 2008), gracias al cual recorrió por dos años Medio Oriente, India e Indochina.
