Beautiful language and illustrations, but the book didn’t feel cohesive from spread to spread.

Excellent book about the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone. I do wish the author had spent a little more time on the time period while there were no wolves (1926-1995).

I love Ruta Sepetys’ work, but I was disappointed in this one. The pacing felt off — so much buildup, scenes that felt repetitive and the writing seemed overdone in some places. And the ending felt flat to me.
