1961 : Naissance de Zoran Janjetov le 23 juin à Subotica, Yougoslavie.
Passionné depuis sa plus tendre enfance par le dessin et la peinture, Janjetov étudie aux Beaux-Arts de Novi Sad. En BD, ses influences s'articulent autour des publications Disney (les incontournables Carl Barks et Floyd Gottfredson) et de la science-fiction, avec le britannique Frank Hampson (créateur de Dan Dare) et, déjà, Moebius. Il est également fasciné par le cinéma d'aventure et les séries télévisées américaines des années 50 et 60, qu'il connaît sur le bout des doigts.
1979 : Outre des illustrations en tous genres (couvertures de livres, pochettes de disques et même génériques télé), Janjetov publie ses premières planches dans la presse estudiantine.
