Kathrin Hartmann (born 1972 in Ulm ) is a German journalist and author.
Hartmann studied art history, philosophy and Scandinavian studies in Frankfurt am Main. During her studies she worked as a freelance author for the Frankfurter Rundschau, taz and Titanic. After a traineeship at the Frankfurter Rundschau, she became an editor there. From 2006 to 2009 she worked for the magazine Neon, since then as a freelance journalist and author. Hartmann lives and works in Munich.
Hartmann now writes regularly for the newspapers Der Freitag, Frankfurter Rundschau and Dogs magazine. She was also involved as a researcher on the satirical program Die Anstalt.
