Graeme Gibson

For 18 years until 2013 my partner Meg and I ran a small consultancy in the community, health and environmental sectors. Much of our work involved telling stories.

In 2012 I self-published Beyond Fear and Loathing: local politics at work, an account of local community activism in the area where I then lived. The book was well received by many, loathed by some. It won a regional writing award and I was not sued.

Since 2013 (with a two year COVID break) I have presented more than 80 Life Writing workshops – creative nonfiction for memoir, autobiography, biography, family history, local history, personal essay, travel diary or feature article writing. I learn something every time, making me a better writer in the process.
