I like to say that I reside just beyond the chimera of reality, walking in shadows just beyond the view of mortals, but with them easily within eyesight and scent for me.

In reality, I live in a very small town in west Texas consisting of just over 1400 souls (according to my appetites).

My writing began by sheer accident, back in the days before the internet was really a big thing and people played games and chatted on bulletin boards and chat rooms like mIRC. I traveled a great deal for business, spending probably 4 nights per week in a hotel room at a minimum, often more and driving easily 200,000 miles per year. The business I was in required lots of communication, reporting and evaluations/assessments etc. back and forth to the Corp. off I like to say that I reside just beyond the chimera of reality, walking in shadows just beyond the view of mortals, but with them easily within eyesight and scent for me.

The business I was in required lots of communication, reporting and evaluations/assessments etc. back and forth to the Corp. office and with contracted facilities nationwide. I covered 18 States regularly, but have done business in all but about eight States, so the highway is my friend, I LOVE "windshield time." Sometimes, I flew of course, but most often I drove my pickup with its raised camper shell, as I had to haul assessment equipment and supplies to homes and businesses. I worked in ultra high-end electronics for persons living dependent upon such technology, either for mobility in their homes or modifications to vehicles and driving systems, even modifying computers to be operated when a person could do nothing but move their eyes and blink.

Specialists are needed for this, as you might imagine and there simply are not that many people with the skills in engineering/fabricating and knowledge of human anatomy and bio-mechanical devices. Needless to say, I was a busy guy and ALWAYS on the go.

My laptop was HOME, it was my link to my wife, we video chatted every night, long before anyone had heard of SKYPE and before it was such a mainstream thing to do. I also spent a lot of time chatting online to pass time in those accursedly lonely hotels. I met some VERY lonely people and truth be told, it made me quite sad.

I love to write poetry and all of the romantic, sappy love letters and stuff like that. My wife is the ultimate tomboy and detests feminine things like that, did NOT like my letters or my poems, so she told me-by all means, write letters to your hears content.

So I started writing love letters to a couple of ladies that were friends. No, understand, THEY KNEW IT WAS JUST FOR THE SAKE OF COMPANY AND A LETTER TO MAKE THEM FEEL GOOD, NO CHEATING OR FALSE PROMISES HERE....... they loved them, just ate them up. Then I started getting requests, "Hey, my friend told me that you write her these beautiful poems and letters, I am SOOOOOOO lonely, could you do that for me?"

My wife said I should start a web site and either charge by the letter or a membership fee and just charge by the month, but that felt wrong, so I just did it out of the goodness of my heart. My GOD, I wrote thousands of letters. And, yes....I hear your mind working, I DID start keeping them and repeating some that were to similar women or that could be easily modified.

Then one day I was talking to a friend and this msg keeps popping up....would someone PLEASE talk to me?
again and again and again. then they said they were a gay male and desperate for someone to talk to. It was heartbreaking, so I wrote back in the chat window, "I am NOT Gay, but I don't care that YOU are, a human in need is a human in need, I will talk with you if that's ok."

That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. He was the nicest person in the world and yes, I even did letters for him, it isn't that hard, take some of he other letters and change around a few details and pronouns....it saved his life or so HE said. We were friends for years. He was a great guy, just SO desperately lonely.

But, that is how I started writing, letters, to poems, to erotica, to stories to fulfill fantasies and then into full fledged writing. Funny how the world works, isn't it?
