Ilgın Olut 1969 yılında İzmir’de doğdu.

1987 yılında İzmir Bornova Anadolu Lisesi'nden mezun oldu. Cerrahpaşa İngilizce Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdikten sonra Hacettepe Üniversitesi’nde infeksiyon hastalıkları dalında ihtisas yaptı.

İlk romanı "Neva" büyük ilgi gördü ve 2000 yılında Dünya Aktüel Ödülleri En Çok Satan Roman Ödülü’nü aldı.

Bir süre UNESCO adına Güney Afrika Cumhuriyeti’nde çalıştı ve burada ikinci romanı "Yüzleri Arayan Adam"ı tamamladı. "Küfkedisi" üçüncü romanıdır. Halen İzmir’de bir eğitim hastanesinde görev yapmaktadır. ...more
