Austin Hoyle was born and raised in west central Illinois. He experienced a great deal of loss and suffering over the course of his youth—from the sudden death of his father as a teenager, to the diagnosis that he carries with him to this day, to the many heartbreaks in between. That suffering sparked a rigorous inward journey, and for the last decade or more, he has been engrossed in the various philosophies and religions of the world. At the same time, he and his wife have been on an outward journey actively exploring earth and it’s many cultures.
