Before coming to Sciences Po, he was the James Westfall Thompson Professor of History and Social Thought at the University of Chicago and before that professor of history at Princeton University. Levy earned his AB from Yale University in 2000 and his AM (2003) and Ph.D. (2008) from the University of Chicago.
