Gomringers Eltern sind die Germanistin Nortrud Gomringer und Eugen Gomringer. Sie ist das Jüngste von acht Kindern und die einzige Tochter. Wegen der Heimat ihres Vaters besitzt sie die deutsche und schweizerische Staatsbürgerschaft.

Aufgewachsen ist Gomringer in Wurlitz bei Hof, 1995 zog sie mit ihrer Familie nach Bamberg. Dazwischen verbrachte sie wegen einer Professur ihres Vaters längere Zeit in den USA und machte 1998 in Lititz in Pennsylvania einen Highschool-Abschluss. Die Schulausbildung schloss sie 2000 mit dem Abitur am Franz-Ludwig-Gymnasium in Bamberg ab. Anschließend nahm Gomringer das Studium an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg mit den Fächern Anglistik, Germanistik und Kunstgeschichte auf, das sie 2006 abschloss. Momenta ...more
