Laurie Shepherd is an artist, author, and educator. Born and raised in the Minneapolis area, she has both a degree in art and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota.

In her late twenties, Laurie moved to northern Minnesota, where she built a one-room log cabin.

Since retiring from teaching art and special education, she currently works part time as a lifeguard and water safety instructor. She continues to write and sculpt in her log cabin home. ...more
