Carol was born the daughter of a Memphis police officer and is now both mother and mother-in-law to two Memphis officers. After growing up in a police family, she thought she knew what to expect when her son joined the department, but a few years in and having attended as many police funerals, Carol realized she needed the support of others who understood this life. She started a group for Memphis police moms, called MPD Moms, in 2015, which continues to grow with every academy graduation. Both on social media and in person, this group has gotten many MPD moms through difficult times. Carol wrote Life as a Police Mom to provide that support to police moms across the country because she truly believes, we are stronger together!
