David Jamison

David Jamison has explored many careers throughout his life (locksmith, math faculty at a university, and vice-president of a landscape supply company, to name a few), and is still trying to answer the age-old question of "what he wants to be when he grows up," but thinks that being a writer will always be one of his favorite answers; though he very much doubts that he will ever grow up entirely.

"I wasn't aware that I had stated my nationality of origin," Mot responded a little cagily. "Regardless, you have guessed right, I am from there, and yes, they are at war."
"With who?"
"With me.”

“What is your profession, Mot?" asked Rivincast.
"I profess that I am a fool, as all sane men should," Mot rejoined.
Rivincast seemed befuddled by the response but tried clarifying. "What do you do for work?"
"Stay as far out of its way as I can, and let it pass me by as often as I can.”
