Henrik Syse is a Norwegian philosopher, emlpyed at the Peace Research Institute Oslo.

He completed His Majesty The King's Royal Guard's Russian course in 1986 - 1987, and became cand. mag. at the University of Oslo in 1989, and Master of Arts at Boston College with a Fulbrights scholarship in 1991.
He was a research fellow at the ethics program at The Research Council of Norway in 1992 - 1997, and received his Doctor Artium in philosophy at the University of Oslo in 1997.

Syse is particularly concerned with moral philospohy. The relationship between the laws of nature, religious perspectives and human rights was the topic for his dissertation, which was later puplished as a book: Natural Law, Religion, and Rights (2007). ...more
