His current work focuses in particular on the geopolitics and international governance of the energy transformation and decarbonisation. His most recent books include Global Energy Politics (Polity, 2020) and The Palgrave Handbook of the International Political Economy of Energy (Palgrave, 2016). In 2018-2019, he served as the lead author of the report ‘A New World: The Geopolitics of the Energy Transformation’, commissioned by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
