EDNEY SILVESTRE nasceu em Valença (RJ), em 1950. Jornalista de longa carreira, se destacou na cobertura dos ataques terroristas de 11 de setembro de 2001 para a Rede Globo - quando era correspondente em Nova York. É apresentador do programa GloboNews Literatura. Seu primeiro romance, Se eu fechar os olhos agora (2009), conquistou elogios da crítica e prêmios como o Jabuti, de melhor romance, e São Paulo, de autor estreante, e foi publicado em outros sete países.
