Born and bred in la belle province and now a resident of Chicago, AIMÉE LABERGE has worked in the field of broadcast television as an art director in Montreal, Toronto, and London before publishing her first novel, Where the River Narrows (Harper Collins Canada 2003). Les Amants de Mort-Bois, a récit, was published in the fall of 2007 by Québec-Amérique.

A Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers Conference in 2007, thrice Ragdale Foundation alumni and twice Canada Council for the Arts grantee, Aimée Laberge is presently finishing a novel set in the arctic. She spent a month on-board the scientific icebreaker Amundsen near the Beaufort Sea to research her main character, a biologist specialized in sea ice flora.
