Allan Mitchell hails from Armidale Australia (originally Sydney) and, despite or perhaps somewhat because of his background in chemistry, is fascinated by the antics of Sherlock Holmes. He has other interests ... word derivations, historical weights and measures, compiling crosswords, all sorts of scientific and historical background material, whodunnit mysteries ... but has found that Sherlock has invaded his mind and now insists on stories being written about him. MX Publishing also loves Sherlock Holmes and has published (to date) five of Al's Sherlock stories, some in epic verse style and now, with SH & the Ley Line Murders, in conventional prose befitting the period of the Great Sleuth's existence. ...more
