Lynne Sturtevant is a talented author and public speaker. She is a native Ohioan and daughter of late Muskingum College History Professor, Dr. David R. Sturtevant. Among her interests are writing, the outdoors, her pets, the supernatural, archaeology and history.
Ms. Sturtevant's first book "Haunted Marietta: History and Mystery in Ohio's Oldest City" (The History Press, 2010) was well-received. She was approached by The History Press to author "Haunted Marietta" based on her knowledge of the Marietta area and the popular Ghost Trek tours she leads in the city.
Partly based on the success of "Haunted Marietta" and her knowledge of the Marietta area, including the history of nearby ancient earthworks, she was approached again by The History Lynne Sturtevant is a talented author and public speaker. Ms. Sturtevant is also the author of several short stories and has been published in Fodderwing, Sunflower Dream, No Experience Required and Dark Eve. Additionally, she has had articles published in The Magical Almanac, Fate Magazine, and The Moon Sign Book. She is the recipient of two fiction awards from the annual West Virginia Writers Conference.
When Ms. Sturtevant is not writing, she is exploring various sites of archaeological interest around the world, hosting the Ghost Trek in Marietta, leading the Ancient Earthworks Tour in Marietta, and presenting workshops on a variety of topics.
