Trường Chinh was a Vietnamese communist political leader and theoretician. He was originally named Đặng Xuân Khu; he adopted the nom de guerre "Trường Chinh" (Long March) as a tribute to Mao Zedong and the Chinese Communist Party. He was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (1941-1957) and later Chairman of the Council of State (President) of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam 4 July 1981 to 18 June 1987. ...more
