Η ΕΙΡΗΝΗ ΜΑΛΑΧΤΑΡΗ γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη το 1980. Σπούδασε στη Νομική Σχολή του Α.Π.Θ. και συνέχισε με μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές τόσο στην Αγγλία όσο και στην Ελλάδα. Ζει και δραστηριοποιείται στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Οι ΝΑΥΑΓΟΙ είναι το πρώτο της μυθιστόρημα.
