Now, how is it that a grown, mature woman can enjoy a children's book? I did, and here is why Pauline Holyoak's book is a must have for every child's collection. I can't wait until the little ones come for a visit so I can show them this book and read to them. The author's prose is fun and has a rhythmic feel. The children will enjoy the voices of the different characters while I read the passages

Pauline is a great writer and her books should be read in daylight, so you can sleep. I can't wait for book three of the Merryweather Lodge series. I'm so glad there will be a book four. Keep them coming, Pauline.

Emily returns to Merryweather Lodge for the holidays only to find out the spirit is not gone. When her best friend comes to visit all sorts of craziness starts to happen.
Why is Jonathan staying away? Will Emily ever make love to him? Who is the Malevolent Spirit and how are they going to get rid of it?
This book was spine chilling. It took me by surprise. I never knew which way I was heading. Just when I thought I had it figured out. Sharp turn into a spooky spirit or possessed being.
This is one Ill read again and again.
Merryweather Lodge is a spine tingling, bone chilling story that leaves you on the edge of your seat.At the age of 14 Emily is excited to visit her Aunt and Uncle in the beautiful Stonehenge England. It is a magical, mystical place for her. She loves the meadows and she's some what of a tree hugger. But has been warned to stay out of the wooden lot. Which she doesn't. Some very wicked things have been happening around Merryweather Lodge where her family lives. She comes across an evil entity in the attic room where she is to stay. When she tells her mother and father they think she has gone crazy like her grandmother before her. Are they crazy or are the spirits real? Will she find the mystery behind the lodge and the wooded lot before it's too late? will she ever get to be the Jonathan who has caught her attention?
There is so much mystery to this story. It is thrilling, scary and intense. I love how descriptive Pauline's writing is. I feel like Im right there in the story and can see the beautiful countryside of the England hills.
