Julie was brought up on nonsense poetry and stories by the likes of Dr Seuss, Edward Lear, Hillaire Belloc and Spike Milligan. Little wonder, then, that her 'Ever So' series of rhyming picture books and her newest tale, Bears Don't Eat Egg Sandwiches', feature larger-than-life characters and crazy adventures.

Julie is currently working on some narrative non-fiction picture book stories.

She states her 'proper job' as a music teacher, but she also reads, sings, dances, works an allotment, goes narrow boating and occasionally finds time to write - not neccesarily in that order and only once attempted all together. ...more

INSPIRATIONAL (re)TREAT!

It's that time of year again.....SCBWI's Picture Book Retreat (now an annual event) took place this weekend at the beautiful Holland House near Evesham in Worcestershire.
