Barbara is a sought after speaker, professional photographer and journal writing instructor. She has been an advocate of journal keeping for more than 25 years and has helped hundreds of women in rehabilitation centers throughout Texas. Women have praised her for their healing and personal growth. The purposeful use of her journaling enabled her cathartic healing while going through the stages of Alzheimer's with her mother.
Between 1980-1983 she attended Santa Monica College, Hamilton School of Photography and UCLA in California where she studied commercial and portrait photography.
