Steve Marreyt (1983) is dichter, muzikant en taalleerkracht. Onder het pseudoniem Edgar Wappenhalter bracht hij bij het Gentse Morctapes vorig jaar de elpee ijsschots veenlaag mist uit, een muzikale ode aan de Nederlandse dichter Sonja Prins. Zijn eigen gedichten verschenen eerder voornamelijk als chapbooks, onder andere bij Marktcorruptie en zijn eigen micro-uitgeverij Edities Marreyt. ‘Onwelvaart’ is zijn officiële debuut.
