Telma Tvon, aliás Telma Marlise Escórcio da Silva, nasceu em Luanda em 1980 e imigrou para Lisboa, onde frequentou o ensino secundário ao mesmo que tempo se integrava na cultura Hip Hop. Pertenceu aos grupos Backwordz, Hardcore Click e Lweji, sendo os três grupos compostos por MC’s femininas. Licenciou se em Estudos Africanos pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa e concluiu o mestrado em Serviço Social pelo ISCTE.
