Dave McKenzie worked as an automobile chassis designer for Ford Motor Company for nearly forty years. After earning his commercial pilot’s license in January 1963, he enjoyed a part-time career as a flight instructor and aerobatic pilot. Dave has published articles in several aviation magazines and currently lives in Michigan.

A Favorite Quote about Flying

In the seventh paragraph on page 188 of The Spirit's Journey I quoted a flight instructor that I enjoyed the privilege of having taken some instruction from, Glois Brand:

Mr. Brand was speaking about "who's the best pilot and which pilot knows the most." He said, "It doesn't matter who you are or how much flying time you may have, you will always find a six or seven hour student pilot that knows
