Baru Marui (Barcelona, 1994) se graduó en Lenguas y Literaturas Modernas en la Universidad de Barcelona para después especializarse en Español como Lengua Extranjera en Ámbitos Profesionales. De naturaleza tímida y reflexiva, la literatura ha sido una de sus vías de escape desde pequeña. Las estanterías de su casa estaban divididas entre las novelas románticas de señores en kilt de su madre y los libros de samuráis y los mangas de su padre y su hermano, hecho que indudablemente marcó su rumbo literario. No obstante, en su memoria todavía guarda una vieja guía de flores y plantas que repasaba cada día y que ha impregnado su forma de construir escenarios, personajes e, incluso, su narrativa.
