After turning his back on the worlds of management, finance and diplomacy, Daniel needed a new direction. He received his teaching certification (CELTA) in 2005 and had a ‘plan’ to teach English for two years before finding a ‘proper’ job. Fast forward nearly two decades, and he finds himself reflecting on his career, wondering how he arrived at his current circumstances. Along the way he has taught in eight countries, including Ukraine, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan and the Basque Country, and become a CELTA teacher trainer, DELTA tutor and IELTS examiner.
